New Triaxial IEPE Isolated Accelerometer for Harsh EMC Environments

The B0xYG1 is a triaxial IEPE accelerometer designed for vibration measurements in demanding environments, combining a piezoelectric ceramic structure with a laser-welded titanium housing. Its dual electrical insulation (enhanced shielding) and extended bandwidth (0.5 Hz to 10 kHz ±10%) make it a reliable tool for critical dynamic testing, such as HASS/HALT tests, modal analysis, or vibration monitoring in electric mobility and railway applications. Three sensitivity options (10, 20, or 100 mV/g) cover measurement ranges from ±50 g to ±500 g, with resolution down to 0.0001 g RMS depending on the model.

This sensor stands out for its environmental robustness: IP68 rated, operational from -40°C to +120°C, and a mechanical resonance ≥30 kHz to prevent high-frequency artifacts. Its ±5 V low-impedance output signal (< 100 Ω) ensures seamless integration with standard IEPE signal conditioners, while its versatile mounting options (M5 screw, adhesive, or magnetic) simplify installation on metal or composite structures. The spectral noise density remains below 20 µg/√Hz at 1 kHz, delivering precise measurements even in the presence of interference.

Typical applications include NVH (noise-vibration-harshness) testing for electric vehicles, railway testing (rolling components, infrastructure), and vibration monitoring of industrial equipment subjected to intense electromagnetic fields. Testing laboratories, automotive manufacturers, and power electronics stakeholders will find a reliable tool to validate the durability of their systems, even under extreme temperature conditions or EMC interference.

The B0xYG1 comes with a calibration report and mounting accessories (screws, 1/4-28 connector). Optional add-ons expand the offering, including a magnetic base, ISO-17025 calibration, and IEPE cables and conditioners (up to 16 channels) for multi-sensor setups.

PM Instrumentation also offers dedicated recorders and recalibration services to maintain long-term metrological traceability.
