Low-level analog or video over fiber

The FO-HBAVT transmitter and the FO-HBAVR receiver carry a low-level analog signal or an NTSC/PAL video signal over a fiber-optic cable, with a bandwidth from DC to 8 MHz. Connect either module to the equipment under test to monitor a signal or to inject one.

Full scale is ±1 V at input and output. The input termination is selectable at 75 Ω, 100 Ω or 2 kΩ. The output termination is 75 Ω, balanced or unbalanced on request. Each module runs on 3 AA batteries, for more than 11 hours on alkaline cells, or on an external power adapter.

Shielding and input and output filtering protect both modules from EMI, EMP and the high voltages of plasma research. They are validated for EMC up to 200 V/m from 500 kHz to 18 GHz, and 600 V/m pulsed (5 % duty cycle, 5 µs rise time) from 1 to 2.5 GHz.
