End-of-shaft 60 ppr encoder, 50.8 mm rotor
The SR0M/E60 is the SR/E60 assembly without slip ring circuits: only its encoder is fitted. It mounts on the end of a rotating shaft and gives a 60 pulse-per-revolution square wave to measure rotational speed from 0 to 6 000 rpm; its pulses per second equal rpm. Its terminals are color-coded and its housing is sealed against dust. With a 50.8 mm (2 in) rotor, it is 57.9 mm long, runs up to 6 000 rpm, from −40 to 100 °C.
On installation, the rotor flange is screwed to the end of the shaft with three 8-32 screws on a 43.18 mm (1.700 in) circle. The encoder is powered with 5 to 15 V DC. The bearings are lubricated for life, and a low-temperature lubricant is specified below −18 °C. A rubber boot or a metal cap adds a cable or connector to the stator terminals.
Its pulses are read directly on a frequency display, or, with Michigan Scientific frequency-to-voltage encoder electronics, its pulses also give an analog speed signal for recorders that cannot read a pulse train.

The bearings are lubricated for life, and a low-temperature lubricant is specified below −18 °C. A rubber boot or a metal cap adds a cable or connector to the stator terminals, and a circular connector can replace the rotor terminals.
It is used where a slip ring and a speed encoder are both needed on the end of a shaft, in harsh environmental conditions; with Michigan Scientific frequency-to-voltage encoder electronics, its pulses also give an analog speed signal for recorders that cannot read a pulse train.
Ten-circuit end-of-shaft slip ring with 60 ppr encoder, 50.8 mm rotor
The SR10M/E60 is an end-of-shaft slip ring with ten circuits rated at 500 mA and a 60 pulse-per-revolution encoder. It mounts on the end of a rotating shaft and carries strain gages, thermocouples, accelerometers and low voltages from rotor to stator, while the encoder measures rotational speed. Its rings and brushes are precious metal, and its terminals color-coded. The housing is sealed against dust, and a manual brush lifter lifts the brushes off the rings when no signal is needed. With a 50.8 mm (2 in) rotor, it is 57.9 mm long, weighs 213 g and runs up to 6 000 rpm, from −40 to 100 °C.
A rubber boot or a metal cap adds a cable or connector to the stator terminals, and a circular connector can replace the rotor terminals.

It mounts on the end of a rotating shaft and carries strain gages, thermocouples, accelerometers and low voltages from rotor to stator, while the encoder measures rotational speed. Its rings and brushes are precious metal, and its terminals color-coded. Contacting rotary seals make it weatherproof against water and dust and limit it to 2 000 rpm. With a 50.8 mm (2 in) rotor, it weighs 213 g and works from −40 to 100 °C.

Ten-circuit end-of-shaft slip ring with 60 ppr encoder, 63.5 mm rotor
The SR10A/E60 is an end-of-shaft slip ring with ten circuits rated at 500 mA and a 60 pulse-per-revolution encoder. With a 63.5 mm (2.5 in) rotor, it weighs 213 g and runs up to 6 000 rpm, from −40 to 100 °C.
On installation, the rotor flange is screwed to the end of the shaft with #8-32 screws. The encoder is powered with 5 to 15 V DC. The bearings are lubricated for life, and a low-temperature lubricant is specified below −18 °C. A rubber boot or a metal cap adds a cable or connector to the stator terminals, and a circular connector can replace the rotor terminals.
It is used where a slip ring and a speed encoder are both needed on the end of a shaft; with Michigan Scientific frequency-to-voltage encoder electronics, its pulses also give an analog speed signal for recorders that cannot read a pulse train.
Weatherproof ten-circuit end-of-shaft slip ring with 60 ppr encoder, 63.5 mm rotor
The SR10AW/E60 is an end-of-shaft slip ring with ten circuits rated at 500 mA and a 60 pulse-per-revolution encoder. With a 63.5 mm (2.5 in) rotor, it weighs 213 g and works from −40 to 100 °C.
On installation, the rotor flange is screwed to the end of the shaft with #8-32 screws. The encoder is powered with 5 to 15 V DC. The bearings are lubricated for life, and a low-temperature lubricant is specified below −18 °C. The unit is fully weatherproof once a metal cap or a rubber boot with a connector covers the stator terminals, and a circular connector can replace the rotor terminals.
It is used where a slip ring and a speed encoder are both needed on the end of a shaft, in harsh environmental conditions; with Michigan Scientific frequency-to-voltage encoder electronics, its pulses also give an analog speed signal for recorders that cannot read a pulse train.
