Three forces and two bending moments

The TR5D-B-5K is a square five-axis load cell in high-grade stainless steel, sealed for weatherproofing and temperature compensated. Five four-arm strain gage bridges give independent outputs for the vertical, lateral and longitudinal forces, Fx, Fy and Fz, up to 22 kN, and for two overturning moments, Mx and My, up to 815 N·m. The body is 60.33 mm square and 33.34 mm high. Non-linearity and hysteresis are below 0.5 % of full scale; the cell is usable from −40 to 149 °C.

The top takes the load on a central M16 × 1.5 thread. The base has four M8 × 1.25 threads on a 40.64 mm square and a central 1-14 UNS thread; the recommended pilot depth is 0.76 mm maximum. Positive outputs result when the top is displaced relative to the base in the directions shown on the drawing. Excitation is 10 V DC or AC rms maximum. The standard cable is 3.05 m, shielded, with open-ended leads; connectors and cable length are specified at order.

The TR5D-B-5K is built for in-field testing.
